Finding education jobs – which job site is best?
Teachers, looking for jobs in education? Look no further than the top education jobs site in the UK – let me list them for you: education-jobs.co.uk/ , tes.co.uk/jobs/ , eteach.com/ – these are the top teaching jobs sites in the UK. Registering with them will take about 15 minutes each and will involves you registering your preferences in terms of job role: i.e what subjects you teach, how many years experience you have, seniority of role etc, etc. Additionally, you can set your preferred locations within your job seeker account, allowing you to hunt for education jobs in area you want to work in. Over and above that, the cool thing is that while you are setting your preferred job preferences into your job applications, you are also setting your job seeker account accordingly, which means that school HR departments and education recruiters who pay to search these job sites, will be able to identify immediately, what you are about as a teacher and where you want to work!
So spending 10 minutes registering your job preferences on these education job sites, is defiantly an efficient part of you job search strategy and worth the time doing. There is no hard and fast rule about how many job sites you should register with, but they say that in the UK, the average job seeker registers with about 6 job boards. I personally registered with 8m but that is because education jobs are proving hard to find at the moment, as there is downsizing in the public sector at the moment, making my job hunt a little harder.
